I can't see myself playing without this mat because it makes all the components pop. It's a great quality! My only complaint is that finding a storage solution for a mat this big and long is difficult. I ended up finding a tube through an art supplies shop that would hold it all, but it towers in comparison to your standard trading card mats (The photo has Space Mat in tube next to a mat I use for TCGs). When I went to travel, I couldn't fit this in my luggage and had to awkwardly carry it by hand. Part of me would have loved a sort of "game board" option that folded up so it wouldn't be as difficult to take with me, but this is still splendid for use at home.
Drop Drive is a fun and thematic game. The neoprene Space Mat and Space Walls take it to the next level.
